Effective date: October 20, 2026

Civil Design Consultants, Inc. (“CDCI,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information through our website and when you contact us about our civil engineering, land surveying, permitting, construction administration, and related services.

Information We Collect

Information you provide. When you contact us, request an estimate, or submit a website form, we collect the information you choose to provide. This may include your first and last name, business name, email address, telephone number, property address, mailing address, project description, and confirmation that you own the property or have authority to request services. We also collect any information you provide in subsequent communications and records of your communication preferences or consent.

We do not knowingly collect personal data that privacy laws classify as sensitive through our website and request that users do not submit Social Security numbers, financial account details, identification documents, or other sensitive personal information through the website.

Information collected automatically. Our website and service providers may collect IP addresses, browser and device information, operating system, pages visited, referring websites, visit dates and times, and interactions with website features. Cookies and similar technologies may associate this information with a browser or device. Approximate location may be inferred from an IP address.

Information from other sources. In connection with a requested project, we may receive relevant property or project information from your authorized representatives, public property records, municipal agencies, other data sources, and other project participants.

How We Use Information

We use personal information to:

  • Respond to inquiries and prepare estimates or proposals.
  • Evaluate project needs and communicate about requested services.
  • Coordinate engineering, surveying, permitting, and related project activities.
  • Operate, maintain, secure, and improve our website and business systems.
  • Understand and optimize website usage and the effectiveness of outreach and advertising.
  • Maintain business records, comply with legal obligations, and protect legal rights.
  • Send communications you have requested or consented to receive, where required.

Submitting an inquiry does not by itself establish a professional services agreement.

Cookies and Google Tools

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies on our website to support essential site functionality, analyze usage, and measure the effectiveness of our online advertising on Google, Meta, LinkedIn, and other reputable platforms.

Our website uses Google Tag Manager to manage website tags. Tag Manager can deploy other tools; its presence does not mean that every Google analytics or advertising service is enabled.

If Google Analytics is enabled, Google may process usage and device information to help us understand how visitors use the website. If advertising tags are enabled, they may process browsing activity and identifiers for advertising measurement or targeted advertising, depending on their configuration and your choices.

You can manage cookies through your browser settings and through any privacy or cookie controls provided on the website. Blocking cookies may affect certain features. Browser settings alone may not prevent all forms of information collection.

Learn more about Google’s practices at https://policies.google.com/privacy and https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Google’s Analytics browser opt-out tool is available at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout if Google Analytics is used.

Manage Meta ad preferences: facebook.com/adpreferences

Where applicable law requires it, we honor qualifying browser or device opt out preference signals, including Global Privacy Control, for covered sales of personal data and targeted advertising. These signals are different from legacy “Do Not Track” settings.

How We Disclose Information

We may disclose the information described above to:

  • Service providers: Providers supporting hosting, website maintenance, forms, email, communications, security, analytics, and business operations, as needed to perform their services.
  • Project participants: Consultants, contractors, municipal authorities, regulatory boards, and other parties when reasonably necessary for a requested project or authorized services. Information submitted in permit applications or public proceedings may become part of a public record.
  • Legal and professional advisers: Attorneys, accountants, insurers, and other advisers where appropriate.
  • Authorities or other recipients: When required by law or reasonably necessary to protect safety, investigate misuse, or establish, exercise, or defend legal rights.
  • Business transaction parties: In connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or transfer of business assets, subject to applicable protections.

We may also disclose information at your direction or with your consent. Any use of analytics or advertising tools must be evaluated under applicable definitions of a sale or targeted advertising; the absence of a monetary payment does not necessarily exclude a disclosure from those definitions.

Email, Telephone, and Text Communications

We may contact you about your inquiry or project using the contact details you provide. Where we send optional marketing emails, you can unsubscribe using the instructions in the message or by contacting us. Service and project communications may continue where necessary.

If you consent to text messages, we may text you about your inquiry or services. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop text messages or contact us for assistance. Consent to optional marketing texts is not a condition of purchasing services. We do not share mobile numbers or text messaging consent with third parties for their own marketing. Providers supporting delivery of our messages may process that information to perform their services.

Retention and Security

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here, including providing services, maintaining professional and project records, resolving disputes, and satisfying legal, insurance, and contractual requirements. Retention depends on the information involved, the project, and applicable obligations. We delete or deidentify information when it is no longer needed, subject to lawful retention requirements and backup cycles.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the information we handle. No website, transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. If an incident triggers legal notification obligations, we will provide the notices required by applicable law.

Massachusetts Residents

Where applicable, we handle covered personal information in accordance with Massachusetts information security, disposal, and breach notification requirements, including 201 CMR 17.00 and Massachusetts General Laws Chapters 93H and 93I. These requirements apply to information and circumstances defined by those laws. You may contact us with questions or concerns about your information or to request an update to information you provided.

New Hampshire Residents

Where the New Hampshire Data Privacy Act, RSA 507-H, applies to our processing of your personal data, eligible New Hampshire residents may request to:

  • Confirm whether we process their personal data and access it.
  • Correct inaccuracies in their personal data.
  • Delete personal data provided by or obtained about them.
  • Obtain a portable copy of their personal data, subject to statutory limitations.
  • Opt out of personal data sales, targeted advertising, and profiling used for solely automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects.

To exercise applicable rights, email info@CivilDCI.com with the subject Privacy Request, or call (978) 416-0920. Describe your request and provide enough information for us to locate relevant records. We may reasonably verify your identity and, where applicable, an agent’s authority. An authorized agent may submit covered opt out requests on your behalf as permitted by law. We will not require you to create an account to exercise your rights or unlawfully discriminate against you for doing so.

For requests governed by RSA 507-H, we respond without undue delay and within 45 days of receipt. If reasonably necessary, we may extend the period by another 45 days and explain the extension within the original response period. Statutory exceptions may limit a request, including requirements to retain certain records.

If we decline a request, you may appeal by emailing info@CivilDCI.com with the subject Privacy Appeal. We will provide a written response within 60 days after receiving the appeal, including the reasons for our decision. If the appeal is denied, you may contact the New Hampshire Attorney General through https://www.doj.nh.gov/data-privacy-enforcement to submit a complaint.

These statutory rights depend on the law’s scope, thresholds, and exemptions, including its exclusion of individuals acting in an employment or commercial context.

Children and External Websites

Our website is intended for adults seeking professional services and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information so we can take appropriate action.

Our website may link to external websites, including Google and LinkedIn. Their own privacy policies govern information they collect. We do not control their privacy practices.

Changes and Contact

We may update this policy as our practices or legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version. We will provide additional notice or obtain consent where required by law.
